About
Description
Alabaster Jar Project is a compassionate and dedicated brand that focuses on providing a healing home for survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Founded in 2013, Alabaster Jar Project was initiated by Susan Johnson, Nate Alcorn, and Kyle Moss in response to the limited resources available for survivors in San Diego, the 8th largest city in the U. S.
Their mission is to empower survivors by offering a range of services and programs. One of their core offerings is Grace House, a long-term residential program that provides safe housing for survivors. Additionally, they operate a Resource Center, which serves as a drop-in facility providing clothing, toiletries, programming, and a Peer Support Group to help survivors on their path to healing and recovery.
Alabaster Jar Project is led by a dedicated team, including Susan Johnson, a passionate survivor advocate and the Executive Director. Dr. Brenda Navarrete, the Program Director, brings her expertise in clinical psychology to develop aftercare programs both locally and internationally.
Present on their Board of Directors are individuals such as Sunny Montas, a former Marine Corps member with extensive legal and military experience, and Judi Sanders, a retired corporate attorney. By offering comprehensive services, support, and safe housing, Alabaster Jar Project aims to restore, rehabilitate, and empower survivors, helping them reclaim their lives and pave the way for a brighter future.
