## Description

**Brand Description: Asociación Latinoamericana de Antropología (ALA)**

The Asociación Latinoamericana de Antropología (ALA) is a pivotal organization dedicated to enhancing the field of anthropology in Latin America and the Caribbean. It promotes scholarly dialogue and collaboration through its flagship event, the VII Congreso ALA, themed "Las antropologías hechas en América Latina y el Caribe en contextos urgentes: violencias, privilegios y desigualdades." Scheduled from March 11 to 15, 2024, at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina, this congress serves as a platform for addressing pressing social issues, including violence, privilege, and inequality.

ALA not only facilitates academic engagement through symposia, roundtables, and editorial presentations but also emphasizes inclusivity by inviting contributions from a variety of perspectives within the discipline. Participants will explore the impacts of neoliberalism on academia, the role of privilege in social dynamics, and the historic roots of anthropology in the region. ALA is committed to fostering critical conversations that empower diverse voices and perspectives within anthropology, seeking to envision a more equitable future.
