## Description

Sekolah Islam Al Akhyar Makassar is an educational institution operated by Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Al Akhyar. Established in 2004 and located in Sudiang, Makassar, it serves children from early childhood through senior high school across four levels: Islamic TK/KB, SD, SMP, and SMA. The school combines Indonesia’s Merdeka national curriculum with its own Islamic program, built around faith, knowledge, and excellence in conduct. Learning includes Qur’an memorization and recitation, Arabic, Islamic belief and ethics, Hadith, and Fiqh, alongside project-based and STEAM activities. Daily routines incorporate prayer, Qur’an study, and congregational worship. Programs range from play-based early learning to academic preparation and student organization activities for older students. Al Akhyar also provides a full-day school option and a digital platform for families to follow reports, attendance and conduct points, memorization progress, fees, schedules, and school events. The school reports A accreditation for its senior high school and highlights graduate pathways to universities including Universitas Indonesia and Hasanuddin University. Its stated aim is to develop academically capable students with strong character.
