## Description

Alaska Endurance Trail Run (AETR) organizes an annual ultramarathon and trail-running challenge in Interior Alaska. Held on the University of Alaska Fairbanks West Ridge trails, the event welcomes individual runners and walkers for timed 6-, 12-, and 24-hour challenges. Its setting in the land of the midnight sun means participants can enjoy extended daylight on the course without needing headlamps.

The event provides practical information for participants, including race details, course and aid-station guidance, rules, and visitor information. Runners can register online and review entry lists, while the website also shares results, race reports, blog updates, and information for volunteers. AETR encourages visitors to follow its Facebook page for current updates.

The race is directed by Don Kiely and is a member of the Road Runners Club of America. Its listed sponsors include Zach’s Restaurant & Express Room Lounge at Sophie Station Suites, Lulu’s Bread and Bagels, and Northern Alaska Tour Company. The 2027 event is scheduled for June 4–5 and marks the 11th running of AETR.
