## Description

Alcott is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency serving underserved individuals in Los Angeles County. Established in 1979, the organization works to improve mental health through integrated social care, helping people facing complex challenges move toward stability, recovery, and long-term wellbeing. Its approach is grounded in coordinated support, community partnerships, and respect for each person’s dignity.

Alcott offers behavioral health services, supportive housing, interim housing, and unarmed crisis response. These programs provide mental health support, housing assistance, and crisis services for people who may otherwise face barriers to care. The organization also reports helping thousands of people through consultations and diverting calls from 911, reflecting its role in connecting individuals with appropriate support.

Community members can contribute through donations, in-kind giving, volunteering, corporate volunteering, and organizational partnerships. Alcott also shares client stories and information about its programs to help people seeking assistance understand the support available. Based in Culver City, the organization invites individuals and partners to get in touch, seek help, or take part in its work across Los Angeles County.
