## Description

Alcubièrre Studio is a design practice specializing in the creation of exhibition and performing-arts spaces. Its portfolio spans museums, cultural institutions, theatres and public organizations, with projects developed for partners including Museu Picasso de Barcelona, the National Art Museum of Catalonia, Teatre Lliure, Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Cristóbal Balenciaga Museoa and the Basilica of the Sagrada Família. The studio’s work includes exhibition environments for art, history, fashion, cinema, science and social themes, as well as scenic spaces for theatre and other performances. Projects range from temporary exhibitions and interpretive spaces to museum interiors, visitor facilities and signage, such as the Museu Marítim de Barcelona’s wayfinding. The portfolio also features installations and cultural experiences created with theatre companies and festivals. Based in Vic, Alcubièrre Studio works across Catalonia and with institutions elsewhere in Spain, shaping spaces that help audiences engage with collections, ideas and performances. Its project list reflects a collaborative practice serving museums, galleries, heritage sites and performing-arts organizations.
