Our journey began in 2010 when Friðrik Jóhannsson and Gunnar Páll Tryggvason spearheaded restructuring projects during the Great Recession. This experience led to the establishment of Icora Partners, an advisory boutique involved in M&A and restructuring across Iceland, Denmark, Latvia, and the Czech Republic. Over time, Icora Partners evolved into Alfa Framtak in 2018, transitioning towards alternative asset management and establishing a private equity fund. Throughout our history, we have successfully completed 20 transactions, amounting to a remarkable 2 billion Euros, including notable projects such as the restructuring of prominent European food manufacturers Hamé and Laima. With our headquarters in Reykjavík, Iceland, we are located at Lágmúli 9, 108 Reykjavík.
