Alison Rockett is an award-winning author, speaker, nonprofit consultant, and functional medicine advocate whose work focuses on families affected by neuromuscular disorders, particularly myotubular myopathy (MTM). For more than 25 years, she has championed research, patient engagement, and the safety and well-being of children and families. She co-founded and led the Joshua Frase Foundation, raising more than $8 million for preclinical research and helping advance gene therapy work toward an FDA application. Her efforts included identifying the first known XL-MTM canine model, supporting biobanks and global data collection, and collaborating with families and pharmaceutical partners to move research toward clinical trials. Rockett is also the co-author of Game Changer: A Boy, A Dog, and A Cure, a book telling the story of her son Joshua and the drive to advance MTM research. Through speaking engagements, she shares insights on advocacy, family and industry collaboration, and innovative research.
