Alistair Grant (1925–1997) was a British painter and printmaker whose work reflects the character of post-war British art and a lasting interest in light, colour and the Normandy coast. He taught printmaking at the Royal College of Art from 1955 to 1970, then served as Head and Professor of the department from 1970 to 1990. His career included abstract paintings, original lithographs, etchings, gouaches and monoprints, including paintings associated with the Étaples series. Grant’s works are represented in public collections worldwide, including MoMA and collections in Stockholm.
