## Description

The Allergy Microbiome Foundation is an Australian DGR-registered charity working to improve life for people affected by allergies, particularly food allergies, and their families. It aims to connect emerging research into the microbiome with the everyday experiences of allergy patients, helping create safer, better-informed and more inclusive communities.

The Foundation’s work spans four areas: education, policy, advocacy and direct support. It shares allergy safety information through public campaigns, events, webinars, guides and training for schools, childcare settings and health professionals. It also advocates for accessible allergy resources, improved labelling and stronger policies across schools, workplaces and healthcare. Research into allergy and microbiome health is another focus, alongside efforts to amplify the voices of patients and families.

For individuals and families, the Foundation describes support initiatives that include peer connection, resources for newly diagnosed families, emergency preparedness education and assistance with medical costs. It also brings families, researchers, health professionals and supporters together through community events, including its Food Allergy Gala Dinner. The Foundation is based in Manly, New South Wales.
