## Description

Alliance BJJ Washington is a veteran-owned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu organization serving students at its academies in Lacey and Lakewood, Washington. Founded by Army veteran James Johnson Jr., the school opened its Lakewood location in 2015 and expanded to Lacey in 2020. It is part of the international Alliance Jiu-Jitsu team, which the website describes as having more than 300 affiliated academies in 29 countries and 13 world championship titles.

The academies offer programs for preschoolers, young children, and adults, including a Baby Eagles program, kids’ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and women’s-only classes. Training emphasizes fundamentals, self-defense, personal development, and respect, with instruction designed to help students build skills and develop their own style. Alliance BJJ Washington welcomes beginners, families, and competitors, and students can attend classes at either location while following a shared curriculum and values. The school also hosts community events and offers a free one-on-one introductory class. Prospective members can contact the Lacey or Lakewood academy to ask about current specials, class schedules, and enrollment.
