## Description

Allingham Arts Festival is an annual celebration of arts, music, history and storytelling in Ballyshannon, County Donegal. Held over five days in November, the festival honours Ballyshannon poet William Allingham while showcasing creative work from the local community and artists from across Ireland and beyond. Its programme brings together writers, poets, musicians, actors, historians and filmmakers for performances, talks, screenings and other events. The 2026 festival, scheduled for November 4–8, features writers including Michael Harding, Elaine Feeney, Paul Howard, Róisín Ingle and Ann Ingle, alongside musicians such as Jack L. and Ár Seisiún Mór. The festival also presents local films, drama and concerts, offering audiences a varied programme across the week. Alongside its public events, Allingham Arts Festival encourages participation through poetry and flash fiction competitions, as well as art and writing competitions for primary school pupils. With tickets, programme information and visitor planning resources available, the festival welcomes audiences and creators to experience the cultural life of south Donegal.
