Founded in 1998 by students of the University for Sustainable Development Eberswalde, the organization combines local action with a broader commitment to sustainability. Its activities include maintaining traditional cultural landscapes through mowing and tree care, protecting wildlife and natural habitats, supporting amphibians, and working on waterways and wetlands. Alnus also helps people experience nature through educational programs, guided excursions, exhibitions, workshops, and resources such as its “Moorrucksack” and grain-growing display. In Eberswalde, the association promotes greener urban spaces and community initiatives, including urban greenery, community fruit, apple-juice pressing, and neighborhood cleanups. It also engages with local policy on issues such as climate protection and sustainable transport. Alnus organizes meetings, events, and volunteer activities, inviting community members to take part in practical conservation and learning. Its work is supported by local public bodies, educational institutions, and regional partners. ## Industries - 🎗 Community and Society - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [instagram](https://instagram.com/alnus_e.v) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG, SVG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id-2evcXRe/w/820/h/292/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793719630921) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id-2evcXRe/w/150/h/150/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793719631396) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Sunglow | #ffd22e | accent | | Cloud Burst | #223752 | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | ## Fonts - Pompiere — asset _(google)_ - var(--font-family-base) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
