## Description

Alola Australia is a charitable organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of women and children in Timor-Leste. Established in 2001 by Kirsty Sword Gusmão, the former First Lady of Timor-Leste, the Alola Foundation initially focused on raising awareness and campaigning against sexual and gender-based violence. Recognizing the need to extend their impact, the Alola Foundation became the first NGO registered in Timor-Leste in 2008. To continue promoting their work in Australia, Alola Australia Ltd was formed, and it collaborates with the Fundasaun Alola to support various programs such as advocacy, economic empowerment, education and literacy, and maternal and child health. Fundasaun Alola has a proven track record of working closely with citizens, non-profit organizations, and the Timor-Leste Government to create meaningful change. By donating or getting involved with Alola Australia, you can actively contribute to building a strong future for the women and children of Timor-Leste. To learn more about their impactful work, visit their website at www.alolafoundation.org. Together, let's make a difference and empower those in need.
