Alpena Public Schools is a renowned Class A district situated in the cultural, economic, and educational epicenter of northeast Michigan. With a student population of approximately 3,900, we provide quality education to students ranging from kindergarten to grade 12, including an alternative high school program. As one of the largest geographic districts in Michigan, our reach extends over 600 square miles, encompassing Alpena County, Presque Isle Township, and a section of Krakow Township in Presque Isle County.

With a focus on safety and convenience, our fleet of buses transports 80% of students, covering an impressive 825,000 miles each year.
