## Description

Alpine Parrot, founded in 2019 by Raquel Vélez, is a groundbreaking outdoor apparel brand dedicated to promoting size and ethnic diversity within the outdoor community. Recognizing the gap in the market, Alpine Parrot specializes in technical outdoor clothing tailored for women in sizes 14-30, ensuring that everyone can find gear that fits well and performs in various outdoor environments. The brand's mission is rooted in inclusivity and sustainability, as they aim to address the unique needs of plus-sized individuals and people of color who often feel underrepresented in outdoor spaces. With nearly two decades of engineering experience, Vélez brings a meticulous approach to the design of each product, focusing on exceptional fit and high-quality construction. Alpine Parrot champions the belief that all bodies can enjoy the beauty of nature, providing stylish, functional options for those seeking adventure without limitations. Although Alpine Parrot has recently announced its closure, it leaves behind a legacy of advocacy and empowerment in outdoor apparel.
