ALS Nederland is a Dutch foundation dedicated to combating ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and its related diseases, PSMA and PLS. ALS is a fatal nerve/muscle disease that causes progressive muscle weakness and paralysis. The foundation's mission is to fund scientific research to find a cure and improve the quality of life for ALS patients and their families.

ALS Nederland raises funds for research projects, as well as the development and provision of helpful tools and resources. Currently, around 1,500 people in the Netherlands are living with ALS, and every year, 500 new patients are diagnosed while another 500 lose their lives to this devastating disease.
