## Description

Althea is a technology brand focused on applying blockchain to infrastructure and connectivity. Since 2018, its technology has supported blockchain-enabled internet access for thousands of homes, including in challenging terrain. The company now presents Althea L1, a permissionless, high-availability Hybrid EVM blockchain purpose-built for networked infrastructure and connectivity. It describes the platform as a payment layer for these networks, designed to help coordinate and fund connected utilities.

Althea’s Liquid Infrastructure offering enables utility assets to be tokenized, allowing people to own a share of infrastructure such as fiber-optic cable or a cell tower. The brand’s stated goal is to help connect both people and machines through networked services. Its website also provides resources for learning about Althea L1 and Liquid Infrastructure, alongside links to its ecosystem, community, and blog. For visitors seeking internet service, Althea directs them to Hawk Networks. The site reports activity across 12 U.S. states and four countries, and highlights 10 million gigabytes of traffic for 2025.
