## Description

KG Altstadtblüten Recklinghausen is a women’s carnival society dedicated to celebrating and preserving the traditions of Karneval in Recklinghausen and the surrounding Vest region. Known as the “Blüten,” its members welcome friends of carnival and invite women to take part in the association’s community life. The group brings people together through seasonal celebrations, performances, social events and shared outings.

A highlight of its calendar is the Weiberfastnacht celebration at the Ruhrfestspielhaus, featuring music, dance, comedy and appearances by local carnival royalty. The Altstadtblüten also take part in the Rosenmontag parade, where members march together in colourful costumes. Beyond the carnival season, the society organizes activities such as excursions, festive gatherings and a Nikolaus celebration, offering members opportunities to connect throughout the year. Its website shares event dates, photo galleries, the association’s history, information about its board and membership, and links to local carnival organizations. With a strong emphasis on friendship, participation and lively traditions, KG Altstadtblüten creates welcoming opportunities for women to enjoy carnival and build lasting memories together.
