## Description

Alyferm offers nature-based wellness experiences in Normandy, between Fécamp and Étretat, led by Marie-Christine, a nature and health-wellness facilitator. Its activities introduce visitors to edible seaweed and lacto-fermentation through practical, convivial sessions designed for individuals, couples, families, and groups.

The seaweed discovery walks take place at low tide on the coastal foreshore, with departures from Vaucottes, Yport, or Fécamp. Participants learn to identify edible macroalgae and gather them responsibly, then explore ways to use them in cooking. Lacto-fermentation workshops are held at local farms, with Fécamp merchants, or at participants’ homes. They teach how to prepare seasonal vegetables in jars using this traditional preservation method, and include recipes and guidance on making pickles.

Alyferm presents these experiences as slow tourism, combining time outdoors, local food knowledge, and hands-on learning. Guests discover the nutritional qualities of seaweed and fermented foods, explore new flavors such as umami, and learn safe practices for harvesting and preserving. Participants can take home their preparations, recipes, and skills to share.
