## Description

Alyssa Hinton is a contemporary southeastern Native American artist whose mixed-media work explores transformation, nature, ancestral histories, culture, and spirituality. Through layered, composite imagery, she seeks to offer viewers a sense of depth, diversity, beauty, and healing. Her creative practice connects art with broader environmental and metaphysical ideas, as well as Native American history and culture and her experience with China.

Alyssa shares her work and ideas through the Art of Transformation blog, which features news, event updates, reflections on her process, and stories about community and environmental engagement. Her website also serves as a sales gallery, offering fine art prints and other products, including note cards and books. Visitors can learn about her background, artist statement, résumé, traditional Chinese painting experience, and eclectic life story. The site also highlights her educational work, workshops and residencies, digital art and design, and cover art. From original creative projects to publications and public events, Alyssa’s offerings bring together visual art, learning, and thoughtful exploration of the connections between people, history, and the natural world.
