## Description

Associazione Alzheimer Emilia-Romagna is a nonprofit volunteer organisation founded in 2010 through the shared experience of local groups working to improve life for people with dementia and their families. It brings together associations across the region, encouraging collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and experience. Its work focuses on supporting and protecting people affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, while promoting prevention and raising public awareness.

The association highlights topics including research, keeping the mind active, nutrition, physical activity, emotional wellbeing and social relationships. It also shares information and resources and promotes initiatives such as Alzheimer Fest in Cesenatico and Maratona Alzheimer. Its member organisations include groups in Carpi, Ferrara, Mirandola, Modena, Reggio Emilia, Parma, Bologna, Fidenza and the Cesena area. Their activities include supporting families, improving quality of life, providing assistance and encouraging inclusion in the community. Together, these organisations form a regional network dedicated to people with dementia and those who care for them.
