## Description

Ambachtelijk Weekend is a regional event celebrating traditional skills and contemporary creativity in the Waasland area of Belgium. Its website invites visitors to meet passionate makers, discover their techniques and experience the care behind their work. The 2026 event is scheduled for Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August, with participating craftspeople and activities spread across local municipalities.

Exhibitors represent a wide range of disciplines, including woodworking, sculpture, ceramics, glass, jewellery, textiles, sewing, basketry, painting, flower arranging and leatherwork. Visitors can also encounter food and drink producers, such as makers of artisanal ice cream, rice pudding, syrups and beer, alongside beekeeping, bicycle repair, heritage displays and other specialist crafts. Some participants demonstrate their processes or offer creative workshops, giving guests a closer look at how objects and products are made.

The event brings together established and emerging makers, individual ateliers and community groups. The website helps visitors plan their experience with information about exhibitors, a map, cycling routes and participating municipalities, as well as event and contact details.
