## Description

AMBIENT is an analytical laboratory and consultancy based in Dorgali, Sardinia, founded in 2006 by biologists Antonio Angelo Spanu and Cinzia Aresti. The company supports food businesses of all sizes, as well as private clients, with services focused on food safety, environmental testing and professional training. AMBIENT is accredited by ACCREDIA under UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 for the tests listed in its accredited scope and regularly participates in proficiency testing to check the quality of its analytical work.

Its food-sector services include chemical and microbiological analysis of food and drinks, shelf-life studies, nutritional declarations and label preparation. Environmental testing covers surface, groundwater, network, swimming-pool and wastewater samples. The laboratory also assesses the effectiveness of cleaning on work surfaces, employees’ hands, tools and equipment.

AMBIENT provides business consultancy, including HACCP self-monitoring manuals, Legionella risk assessments, swimming-pool monitoring manuals and coronavirus prevention protocols. It also assists with regional SUAPE applications and offers food-safety courses for people working with food and beverages, with certificates awarded to participants who complete and pass the course.
