## Description

The Asociación Mexicana de Cirugía General (AMCG) is a premier organization dedicated to the advancement and integration of the surgical community in Mexico. Established in 1973, it unites approximately twelve thousand surgeons from Mexico and Latin America, offering a platform for educational and training events. AMCG is committed to enhancing the skills of both novice and experienced professionals through a diverse range of academic programs, including the Centro de Enseñanza de Cirugía de Mínima Invasión, which specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques across two campuses in Mexico City and Monterrey.

In addition to in-person training, AMCG provides virtual education through its Academia Virtual, offering a variety of online courses tailored to different medical specialties. Members can access bi-monthly publications, certification readings, and participate in national awards that recognize excellence in teaching and clinical practice. With forthcoming events such as the XXII ECOS Internacionales de Cirugía General and academic sessions, AMCG continues to be a leader in supporting surgical professionals toward achieving clinical excellence.
