## Description

Amélie la Vie is a French nonprofit association founded in December 2003, initially to help fund Amélie’s operation in the United States. Today, it supports people with acquired brain injuries and their families, with a focus on helping individuals develop autonomy and participate in community life.

A central initiative is Les Colibris, an inclusive shared home for adults with brain injuries. Opened in June 2025, it provides five residents with adapted two-room apartments where they can live independently while sharing social experiences. Common areas support cooking, group activities, outings and relaxation, including use of a sports space. The project combines suitable accommodation with opportunities for companionship and everyday participation.

Amélie la Vie also shares news and organizes community events, including a traditional walking excursion. People can support its work by becoming members, making a donation or getting in touch. The association invites interested people to follow its updates and activities. It is based in Sathonay-Camp, France.
