# American Board of Orthodontics - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `americanboardortho.com` ## Description The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) is the national certifying board for orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, recognized by the National Commission on Recognition of Dental Specialties and Certifying Boards. Founded in 1929 as dentistry’s first specialty board, the ABO works in partnership with the American Association of Orthodontists and sets certification standards intended to promote excellence in orthodontic care. The organization supports orthodontists through its certification and 10-year renewal processes, along with a pathway program, presentations, volunteer opportunities, and professional resources. It also provides tools such as brochures, logos, and materials to help certified specialists communicate their credentials. For patients, the ABO offers an orthodontist locator to help identify board-certified professionals, as well as information about certification and how to file a complaint. Through its website, the ABO shares certification results, leadership announcements, policy information, and educational content on its Across the Board blog. Its work centers on recognizing specialist achievement and helping patients understand the value of choosing a board-certified orthodontist. ## Industries - ⛑ Health - ⛑ Dentist and Dental Services _(under Health)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/americanboardoforthodontics) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/americanboardorthodontics) - [linkedin](https://linkedin.com/company/10891347) - [youtube](https://youtube.com/user/americanboardortho) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idQstVvmwj/w/298/h/60/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793304247977) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idQstVvmwj/w/604/h/605/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793304248119) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Tango | #f47b20 | accent | | Nepal | #8faabc | dark | | Wild Sand | #f4f4f4 | light | --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
