America Needs You is a nonprofit organization based in New York City that is dedicated to promoting economic mobility for ambitious, low-income college students. They offer a range of programs and services aimed at providing these students with career development, mentorship, and professional networking opportunities. One of their main programs is the Fellows Program, which is designed specifically for first-generation college students who come from homes where no parent has earned a four-year college degree.

Through this program, students have access to career development workshops, one-on-one mentorship, professional grants, internship and transfer support, and a network of over 2,500 students, professionals, and alumni. In addition to the Fellows Program, America Needs You also offers the FirstGenU Career Institute, a six-week institute that focuses on three key phases of career development: Getting Your First Job, Developing Leadership Skills, and Planning a Meaningful Career. By addressing the professional development gap for first-generation college students, America Needs You is working to change outcomes and create more opportunities for upward mobility.
