## Description

SCS Software is a game development company founded in 1997 and based in Prague, Czech Republic. It specializes in simulation games, particularly detailed experiences centered on trucks, vehicles, and the worlds around them. Its projects include American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2, which bring together driving, road networks, cities, and scenery inspired by real places.

The company develops its own technology, including Prism3D, an in-house 3D game engine built to support its projects and adapted for different operating systems. Its work spans vehicle physics, traffic behavior, sound and music, map design, and the creation of detailed environments. SCS Software also supports an open approach to modding, with tools that let fans create and experiment with game assets.

Community feedback is an important part of the company’s development process. SCS Software engages with players and draws on input from experienced truckers in Europe and the United States. Alongside developing games and technology, the company offers career opportunities and internships for people interested in joining its creative and technical teams.
