## Description

The American Rimfire Association (ARA) is a well-established sanctioning body for .22lr bench rest competitions. They offer two classes, Unlimited and Factory, where participants have 20 minutes to shoot a 25 bull target for a maximum score of 2500. With a focus on providing an honest competitive organization, ARA aims to promote precision .22lr bench rest shooting across the United States. Founded in April 1998 by a group of passionate .22lr shooters, ARA has evolved over the years. In 2010, Dan Killough took over the organization, introducing electronic scoring to ensure faster and unbiased target scoring. The implementation of electronic scoring is optional but encouraged for all ARA clubs. In 2017, ARA was acquired by ELEY INC, further promoting and expanding .22lr competitions. With clubs nationwide, ARA offers matches and tournaments to anyone interested in honing their skills in precision shooting. For more information and to view the schedule, rules, and target, visit the official ARA website. Contact the ARA Business Office for any inquiries. Join the community and be a part of the excitement of competitive .22lr bench rest shooting with the American Rimfire Association.
