Amigos For Kids is a well-established brand that is dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect. Their mission is to value children, strengthen families, and educate communities. The history of Amigos For Kids dates back to 1991 when a group of friends started volunteering at child welfare organizations. They were soon approached by the Children's Home Society to form an auxiliary group that could garner support from the Hispanic community in South Florida. This group, initially named Amigos of CHS, eventually became an independent organization called Amigos Together For Kids, and later Amigos For Kids.

Under the leadership of Rosa Maria Plasencia, who served as the president and CEO from 2004 until her untimely death in 2018, Amigos For Kids has grown from a passion project into a mainstream nonprofit. Rosa Maria was deeply committed to the cause and took a personal interest in every child served by the organization. Amigos For Kids offers various programs and initiatives to fulfill their mission.

These include after-school activities, nurturing parents, the Blue Ribbon campaign, Amigos Care Toy Drive, and the Blue Backpack Project. They also organize events like Amigos Night to raise awareness and funds for their important work.
