AMIkids is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping youth develop into responsible and productive citizens. For over 50 years, AMIkids has been empowering troubled youth across the country, guiding them on a path towards a positive future. It all started in 1969 when Judge Frank Orlando, Chief Juvenile Court Judge in Fort Lauderdale, recognized that troubled youth needed more than just incarceration.

He reached out to his friend Bob Rosof, director of the Florida Atlantic Ocean Science Institute, to provide these young men with an opportunity to work hard and be rewarded for their efforts. This initial experiment led to the creation of AMIkids, which has now helped over 150,000 young men and women. AMIkids offers a unique combination of education, behavior modification, and treatment in a family atmosphere to help children with troubled pasts turn their lives around and become productive citizens.

With programs across the country and a dedicated staff, AMIkids is committed to positively impacting as many youth as possible and creating a brighter future for generations to come
