## Description

Les Amis du Festival is an association and foundation connected with the Festival de Cannes, dedicated to supporting cinema and the next generation of creative talent. Its mission is to encourage emerging filmmakers, help new generations of film enthusiasts discover cinema, and promote cinephilia around the world. The organisation supports projects across three broad areas: artistic creation and young artists, environmental and societal policy, and cinematic heritage. Its activities include backing initiatives that nurture new work and preserve the legacy of film. Through its connection with the Festival de Cannes, Les Amis du Festival also highlights programmes such as La Cinef and the Festival’s Residence, which supports filmmakers developing their first or second feature-length fiction films. The organisation invites supporters and patrons to join in promoting cinema of the past, present, and future. Led by Grégoire Chertok, president of the association and foundation, Les Amis du Festival champions a vision of culture, creation, and modernity rooted in the Festival’s history and oriented toward the future.
