## Description

Ammeplejersken is a breastfeeding support service led by Betina Kærager, offering professional guidance and consultations for families in Copenhagen and much of Zealand. Its aim is to help parents feel more confident and supported throughout their breastfeeding journey, with advice tailored to each family’s needs and circumstances.

Services include preparation for breastfeeding before birth, giving expectant parents the opportunity to discuss their hopes and plans, including any difficulties they experienced in a previous breastfeeding journey. For families already facing challenges, Ammeplejersken provides breastfeeding guidance and consultations to explore practical solutions together. Support may be relevant when feeding is painful, a baby cries frequently, or has difficulty latching. The service also lists a “Tryg amning” breastfeeding course.

Ammeplejersken emphasizes that breastfeeding should feel positive for both parent and baby, and that each visit can be shaped around the family’s concerns. Appointments can be booked directly, and clients can contact Betina by phone or email to discuss what kind of support would be most helpful.
