## Description

AMS Gallery is an art gallery presenting the work of contemporary Portuguese painter Alfredo Moreira da Silva. Born in Porto, the artist has lived and worked in Alentejo for more than three decades, where the surrounding landscape has shaped his practice. His paintings move between abstraction and landscape, using colour, gesture and material to evoke place, atmosphere and memory, while exploring the relationship between territory and human presence.

The gallery offers selected original paintings for purchase, including works from the Living on the Edge of a Desert series and pieces shown in current exhibitions. Its online catalogue provides artwork details, such as titles, dates, media and dimensions. AMS Gallery also presents curated exhibitions, including Ao Porto, a selection of paintings made between 2019 and 2026, and Montanhas Mágicas, an exhibition planned for summer and autumn 2026 at Herdade da Matinha. Through artist biographies, exhibition texts and artwork listings, the gallery gives visitors context for Moreira da Silva’s work and its connection to the landscapes of Porto and Alentejo.
