## Description

The Association Mémoire Vivante de l’Immeuble Colbert (AMVIC) is a French association governed by the 1901 law, dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the Colbert building in Marseille. Its work brings together the building’s heritage, social history and the memories of people who knew it. Visitors can explore historical accounts and chronicles, read personal testimonies and articles, and view photographs and videos documenting the site and its past. The association also highlights key events connected with the building, including its history of resistance and liberation, and presents exhibitions such as “130 Years of Social History of the Colbert Building.” Through meetings, events and updates, AMVIC encourages public engagement with this shared history. Its website provides information about the association, its statutes and internal rules, ways to become a member, and links to related organisations and resources. By collecting and presenting historical material and first-hand memories, AMVIC aims to keep the story of the Colbert building accessible and pass it on to future generations.
