## Description

AMZ Racing, the Academic Motorsports Association of Zurich, is a team of engineering students who design, build, and race single-seat cars in Formula Student. Based in Zurich, the team brings together students from Swiss universities to pursue innovation in electric and autonomous motorsports, while inspiring young people to take on challenges in engineering and business. Since 2010, AMZ has developed electric race cars and explored autonomous racing, competing against teams from universities worldwide. Its work spans the full vehicle-development process, from concept and research through manufacturing, assembly, testing, and competition. AMZ’s Formula Student activities combine engineering with business-oriented challenges, as teams are assessed on more than speed. The organization offers active and passive membership for students and alumni, and invites enthusiastic young engineers to get involved. Its website shares team news, race updates, research, car information, and details about recruiting and sponsorship. AMZ also highlights its racing achievements, including a reported 0–100 km/h record of 0.956 seconds and a third consecutive Formula Student Germany overall victory announced in 2026.
