ANANDO is a Bangladesh-based development and humanitarian organisation founded in 1996 and headquartered in Dhaka. Guided by humanism, social justice and interfaith harmony, it works with underserved and climate-vulnerable communities, including people in remote coastal and hill districts and Rohingya refugee settlements. The organisation aims to help individuals and communities become more self-reliant and build dignified, resilient lives.

ANANDO combines microfinance with programmes in agriculture and livelihoods, food security and nutrition, youth skills, climate resilience, water, sanitation and hygiene, peacebuilding, women’s empowerment, and humanitarian response. Its agricultural support includes climate-smart cultivation, homestead gardening, livestock and fisheries, farmer training, village model farms, plant nurseries, community seed banks and links to markets. The organisation also provides employment and income-generation support through credit, alongside disaster-risk reduction and community development initiatives.

Since its founding, ANANDO reports reaching 2 million people and delivering 96 projects, with 23 branches and 16 of its own offices. It partners with communities and other organisations to strengthen local capacity and expand opportunities for children, youth and families across Bangladesh.
