## Description

Anciens Aérodromes, also known as 2A, is an association dedicated to researching and documenting former airfields and sites connected with aviation history. Its guiding principle is that if an airfield existed, the association will seek to find it. The website shares historical accounts, photographs, research updates and reports from members’ visits to aviation sites and military air bases. Its Atlas section provides information on airfields in France and Belgium, while the site’s publications and articles explore local aviation histories, historic events and the development of aviation facilities. Recent coverage includes air stations, early flying grounds and the history of Orange-Caritat air base. The association also publishes news, announcements and event information, and reports on collaborative visits and heritage initiatives. Readers who have additional information about a site are invited to contact the association to help update the atlas. Anciens Aérodromes serves aviation-history enthusiasts and researchers by bringing together historical records, member contributions and resources related to the discovery and preservation of France’s aeronautical heritage.
