# ANCRAS - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `ancras.pt` ## Description The Associação Nacional de Caprinicultores da Raça Serrana (ANCRAS) is a Portuguese nonprofit association dedicated to promoting and supporting the breeding of Serrana goats. Founded on 28 May 1990, it has been officially recognised since 1992 as the national managing body for the Serrana goat breed’s herdbook. Based in Mirandela, ANCRAS works to preserve and develop the breed through resources covering its history, standards, characteristics, distribution, population, genetic evaluation, ecotypes and breeding farms. The association also manages herdbook information for the Preta de Montesinho goat and provides details about breed support. Its activities include projects, competitions, events, training and news, alongside protocols and resources for breeders. ANCRAS promotes the value of local products, including protected-name foods, and highlights the Cabrito Transmontano DOP gastronomic festival. It also shares breed information through photographs and videos and maintains a presence on Facebook. Through these services and initiatives, ANCRAS connects goat breeders, supports breed management and encourages recognition of Serrana goat farming and its products. ## Industries - 🏭 Heavy Industry and Engineering - 🏭 Agriculture _(under Heavy Industry and Engineering)_ - 🐶 Pets and Animals - 🐶 Animals _(under Pets and Animals)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/serrana.cabra) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idwFWN0udY/w/107/h/90/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790841778993) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Delta | #a7a6a2 | accent | | Mine Shaft | #333333 | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | ## Fonts - Open Sans — asset _(google)_ - Helvetica Neue — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
