## Description

Founded in 1880, Ando Cloisonné is a Japanese company dedicated to preserving and developing the art of cloisonné enamel. The company describes its workshop as having been selected by the Cultural Properties Protection Committee for its intangible cultural heritage, and emphasizes the craft knowledge passed down through generations of makers. Its work explores varied cloisonné techniques and the rich, layered colors possible with glass enamel, combining traditional skills with new forms of expression.

Ando Cloisonné offers finely crafted pieces including vases, decorative plates, bowls, jewelry, accessories, pen trays, sake vessels, and other ornamental objects. Featured works include cloisonné flower vases, boxes, and decorative figures. Customers can browse its online catalog and purchase products through its online shop. The company also undertakes custom commissions and collaborative product projects, applying its techniques to clients’ ideas and work across different fields. Visitors can see its creations at specialist stores in Nagoya and Tokyo’s Ginza district. Through its products, workshops, and collaborations, Ando Cloisonné aims to connect the craft’s long history with contemporary life.
