## Description

Andreas Zidek is a goldsmith and artist based in Mannheim, creating distinctive jewellery and art objects shaped by personal stories, encounters and his central theme of happiness. Trained in Munich and Worpswede, with further study in Amsterdam, Zidek combines traditional goldsmithing skills with an individual, experimental approach to materials and techniques. His one-of-a-kind works use gold, silver and gemstones, and many can be worn as jewellery. Collections include art jewellery, concept objects, spoons and cutlery, as well as partner, engagement and wedding rings. Customers are invited to visit the atelier, discuss meaningful memories or ideas, and take part in developing a personal piece. The workshop also offers jewellery commissions, repairs and remodelling, alongside goldsmithing courses in Mannheim, including sessions for couples making their own rings. Zidek’s precious metals are sourced from recycled materials and certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council. His work is represented by galleries in Germany and abroad, and a ring was acquired by the Schmuckmuseum Pforzheim in 2014.
