## Description

André Beuchat is a contemporary engraver and artist whose practice continues the tradition of entirely hand-crafted printmaking. Born in Neuchâtel in 1956 to a Venetian mother and Swiss father, he travelled to Rome, Florence and Venice after his studies. In 1980, he opened an art-ceramics workshop in Fidenza, then began working as an engraver in 1986 after studying chalcography at the International Centre of Graphic Arts in Venice. For more than twenty years, Beuchat has worked with paper and ink, creating original works and prints through his artistic atelier, Alma Charta, in Fontanellato, near Parma. The website presents his artworks, prints and editions, including featured monographs, and shares information about exhibitions and public presentations. Visitors can explore his biography, browse available works and editions, contact the atelier, or subscribe to its newsletter. Beuchat’s practice brings together traditional printmaking, independent publishing and the careful production of art prints, while his ongoing appointments connect his work with galleries and cultural organisations in Italy and abroad.
