# Animal Behavior Society - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `animalbehaviorsociety.org` ## Description The Animal Behavior Society (ABS) is an international organization dedicated to advancing the understanding and study of animal behavior. Its membership is open to anyone interested in the field, and includes people from more than 64 countries. For 45 years, the Society has contributed to animal behavior education and supported a community of researchers, educators, and other interested members. ABS offers professional and educational resources through its committees, newsletters, position postings, and access to the journal Animal Behaviour. Its work spans applied animal behavior, conservation, education, diversity, film, and safe behavior. The Society also convenes an annual meeting, alongside other events, where members can share research and participate in symposia, workshops, and special sessions. A major part of ABS’s support for the field is its grants and awards. Programs include student research and travel grants, conservation and early-career funding, meeting-related awards, and recognition for teaching, service, and research. The Society also provides outreach grants and a language-editing program, helping broaden participation and support the next generation of animal behavior professionals. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Biology _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/animalbehaviorsociety) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/animalbehaviorsociety) - [twitter](https://twitter.com/animbehsociety) - [youtube](https://youtube.com/channel/UCSdEzohEiS_1eFGAnEp0z8Q) ## Logos & icons - icon _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idfv0Zpaag/w/291/h/291/theme/dark/icon.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793746152596) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Navy Blue | #0e0071 | accent | | Limeade | #8ea604 | dark | | Khaki | #f3ea94 | light | ## Imagery - banner _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idfv0Zpaag/w/1500/h/500/idIwPbCBpd.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1725800425643) --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
