## Description

The Animal Ultrasound Association (AUA) is a Community Interest Company founded by Catherine Stowell, a seasoned sonographer dedicated to enhancing ultrasound scanning standards in veterinary care. Established in 2016, the AUA aims to create a safe and supportive community for professionals involved in animal ultrasound by providing ongoing training and development. It addresses the critical need for proper training and compliance with safety standards in ultrasound procedures, particularly in sensitive applications such as small animal pregnancy scanning.

The AUA offers various resources, including training courses for paraprofessionals and licensed veterinarians, promoting high ethical and technical standards in ultrasound practices. Members benefit from exclusive echocardiography training that fosters collaboration between veterinarians and paraprofessionals. Through outreach and education, the AUA strives to raise awareness about the importance of trained professionals in delivering quality care for pets. By focusing on high standards, the AUA enhances the well-being of animals and supports pet owners and veterinary professionals alike.
