## Description

Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards, established in 1935 by Cleveland poet and philanthropist Edith Anisfield Wolf, celebrates books that deepen our understanding of racism and human diversity. This prestigious award, presented by the Cleveland Foundation, is the only American book prize dedicated to works addressing these critical issues. The annual winners, chosen by a distinguished jury, ignite conversations and shed light on historical and contemporary injustices. From poetry to fiction and nonfiction, each recognized book challenges and enlightens readers, encouraging reflection and empathy. The legacy of the Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards, spanning 88 years, honors the commitment to social justice of its founders, John Anisfield and Eugene Wolf. Join us in exploring the powerful narratives that shape our collective understanding of the world. Subscribe to our newsletter for updates and engage in the vital discourse on racism and diversity.
