## Description

Antichità Piselli Balzano is a Florence-based gallery specializing in antique textiles, historic clothing and works of art. Founded in 1967 by Mirella Piselli, the gallery initially focused on Renaissance majolica and vintage furniture before turning its attention to historic fabrics in the early 1980s. Today, under the direction of her son Paolo Balzano, it continues this specialized work with a focus on research, careful selection and the condition and history of each piece.

The gallery offers antique fabrics dating from the 15th through the 19th centuries, along with antique garments and a varied selection of other antiquities. Its textiles have attracted interest from significant Italian and international institutions; pieces from the collection have been acquired by Florence’s Bargello Museum and Switzerland’s Abegg-Stiftung, among others. Antichità Piselli Balzano serves collectors and visitors through the exhibition, purchase and sale of antique textiles, clothing and antiquities. The gallery is located on Via dei Fossi in Florence and is open to the public on weekdays.
