## Description

Den Gecroonden Boschboom is a private antiques collection presented by collector and enthusiast Maurice Ackermans in a historic listed residence in the old centre of ’s-Hertogenbosch. Rather than operating as a conventional shop with regular opening hours, the collection is shared with visitors through three extensive exhibitions each year, offering an intimate, welcoming setting in which to view the objects.

The collection brings together antique silver, Chinese porcelain, crystal, old jewellery, and prints and paintings, including works connected with Brabant. Den Gecroonden Boschboom describes its focus through two guiding qualities: class and quality. Its website provides an introduction to the collection and features information about exhibitions, including seasonal presentations, as well as sections devoted to silver, paintings, jewellery, and Chinese porcelain. The project reflects Ackermans’s personal passion for collecting and his wish to share that interest with others. Visitors can explore a varied selection of antiques in a domestic, atmospheric environment, where the objects are displayed as part of a distinctive private collection rather than a conventional retail experience.
