## Description

The Antique Corset Museum is dedicated to the history of undergarments and the garments used to shape fashionable silhouettes. Its focus is corsetry and related clothing, exploring how these items supported and molded the figure from medieval times through the development of elastic and spandex. The museum presents a broad range of historical pieces, including corsets, stays, hoops, bustles, chemises, petticoats, bloomers, bodices, teddies, knickers, brassieres, girdles, panties, garters, stockings, slips, and lingerie.

At the heart of the museum is corsetiere Melanie Talkington’s collection, described as the world’s largest private collection of antique corsets. It contains more than 300 corsets and undergarments dating from the 18th century to 1960. Visitors can explore exhibitions and events, view a preview of the collection, and visit the museum’s boutique. The site also provides information about the museum, ways to make contact, and opportunities to donate, with updates and content shared through social media and Patreon.
