## Description

Antique Historical Maps is a digital collection of royalty-free vintage maps sourced from the U.S. Library of Congress Geography and Map Division. Its collection includes more than 125 maps dating from the 1500s to the 1900s, covering the world, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, North and South America, U.S. states, and cities. The maps are offered as downloadable JPG files in high- and low-resolution formats, suitable for print and digital use and compatible with common image-editing, design, and presentation programs. The files retain much of their original character, including signs of age, while date stamps and other added markings have been removed where possible. Antique Historical Maps presents the collection for graphic design, illustration, websites, presentations, education, crafts, and other creative projects. The site also highlights uses such as decor, research, gifts, props, and custom designs, and provides sample downloads, FAQs, tutorials, and merchandise. Its focus is making historical map imagery accessible for both practical projects and creative exploration.
